PneuTel reliably detects a drop in tyre pressure from 50kPa onwards. The driver is warned by an acoustic signal and alert comes up on the cabin display. The problem is also indicated in PneuTel and, if set up, emails and SMS messages can be sent to pre-set numbers. We have developed a complex algorithm that considers changes in temperature and shape (volume) of the tyre and calculates the current pressure against the standard. It also takes into account the individual properties of each tyre. Due to this, no false alarms occur.
PneuTel discovers the puncture prior to its happening, giving the driver enough time to avoid destruction of the tyre, damage to the vehicle, fire or even worse consequences which any truck operator can imagine. |
